Kids Create is a class for children ages 3 1/2-5 and is ideal for a child’s first class away from home or as a supplement or substitute to traditional preschool programs. This class runs for the full school year two mornings a week for 2 1/2 hours.
Our instructors engage students through a variety of creative experiences including sculpture, painting, drawing, creative movement and music. This program provides social, motor, and creative experiences that excite love for learning through the arts.
Through rich and varied experiences with the arts in combination with a sound academic preschool education, children grow in both self-esteem and intellectual ability. Jackson School of the Arts preschool class curriculum allows students the opportunity to work with professional artists, actors, dancers, and musicians in our art, dance and theater studios.
Just as access to the Arts help young hearts and minds to grow, our need for the community to help us support the youth in Jackson has continued to grow. We are now providing 650 children with tuition assistance and scholarships.
Whether you’ve always dreamed of learning ballroom dance or just want to polish your style and add new moves to your repertoire, our instructors at Jackson School of the Arts will help you meet your goals while feeling comfortable and confident.
Our Ballroom class sessions rotate through a different style of dance each month. You’re free to only sign up for months/styles that interest you or just join the group on a regular basis! (Both couples and singles are welcome!)

For nearly two decades, the Jackson School of the Arts has been a leading provider in art, dance, theater, gymnastics, and jiu-jitsu. As a nonprofit organization with a mission to make the arts accessible to all children, we offer subsidized fees that are based on household income.
With over 175 year round classes, we offer something for everyone from the youngest dancer on tippy toes to the inspired adult artist.
Our programs run year round and most classes are offered after the school day so that children, youth and adults can have a place to discover and experience the arts. We also offer classes during the day for preschool aged children and homeschoolers. Our instructors are nurturing and work with students at his/her own level. This is a place where all are welcomed and encouraged.
